4) Object of Society: Aims and Objects: The vision, aims and objects for which the Society is established are the following:
a. Vision: To identify and work with the impoverished, weaker and vulnerable sections of the society to find solutions to the challenges threatening their lives in the field of health, education and environment with the ultimate aim of establishing an aware, responsible and developed society based upon equality, fraternity and social justice, ensuring sustainable and holistic development with emphasis on human rights, and a culture of social service through creating synergy and building strategic partnership with the Government, NGOs (non-government organisations), SHGs (self help groups), CBOs (community based organisations) and various national and international organisations by planning appropriate downstream and upstream interventions.

a. Education, research and training:
i. To promote education, especially girl education.
ii. To conduct educational, environmental and sociological studies.
iii. To promote use of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) for socio-economic development of the community.
iv. To organize training and refresher programmes for the volunteers and officials of different Non Government Organizations to strengthen the development skills of trainees through IEC (information, education and communication) which they can use in the development sector.
v. To disseminate information and knowledge, to edit, publish, and print literature and documents and to organize seminars/ conference/ meetings etc.
vi. To promote participation of youth (unemployed as well as students) in income generation activities.
vii. To organize lectures, seminars and workshops to help or strengthen the character building process.
viii. Health:
i. To assist in the field of Blind Control Programmes of Government.
ii. To spread awareness about STD and HIV/AIDS and work for the welfare of people living with HIV/AIDS.
iii. To work in the field of reproductive and child health services with emphasis on vaccination.
iv To create awareness about communicable and vector-borne disease control measures through better hygiene and sanitation.
v. To narrow the difference between the health status of people on the basis of gender and create awareness against female foeticide.
vi. To create awareness against drug menace.
vii. To encourage organ donation.
viii. To create awareness about Traffic Rules to minimizes roadside accidents resulting loss of life or handicappedness.
b. Social:
i. To promote social welfare activities with special emphasis on women empowerment.
ii. To work for the betterment of women, children, senior citizens, and disabled and to fight against social wrongs like discrimination and harassment based on gender etc. with a vision of social justice..
iii. To eliminate child labour, child trafficking, and child abuse and focus on the education and resettlement of these deprived children.
iv. To fight against corruption and make people aware about their legal and consumer rights.
d. Environment:
v. To work for environmental awareness, sustainable development and participative management of local natural resources for village level development.
vi. Forestation.
vii. To create awareness about disaster management.
e. Policy formulation and implementation:
i. i. To work with the government and other NGOs at the policy formulation level.
ii. To affirmatively coordinate with the State and Central Government in implementation of developmental schemes.

We, the above member of signatories of the society desire to form our society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. and accordingly we have formed the said society, today. i.e.”,Sankalp Welfare and Awareness Society-SWAS.”and we have signed the Memorandum of Association for the purpose of the registration of Society under the Societies Registration Act,1860.
